We fly in a tandem paraglider a few kilometers from Florence, Arezzo and Siena.
There are two main flight areas, with equipped take-off and landing spts thate are both easily accessible by car without having to walk, at a distance of 5 kilometers from each other. The take off and landing areas will vary according to the aerological conditions, the season and the direction of the wind.
Take off: Reggello
Elevation: 1100 meter/3608 feet
Difference in height: 800 metri/2624 feet
The take-off of Reggello , near the west side of the Pratomagno massif in Massanera. It takes off with winds of variable direction from south-west to north and allows you to fly over the north part of the flight area.
Below us Reggello, Figline Valdarno, Incisa, Pontassieve and Florence, the abbey and the historic forest of Vallombrosa, the modern wind generators of Mount Secchieta, the castle of Acquabella, in the climatological hamlet of Saltino and the spectacular castle of San Mezzano in Holm oak.
All surrounded by woods, olive groves and vineyards typical of the Tuscan landscape.
Take off: CASTELFRANCO DI SOPRA

The take-off of Castelfranco di Sopra, near Montrago, allows you to take off with winds of varying direction from east to south-west, offers an excellent panoramic view and, thanks to glimbing, fly over the Valdarno and the particular moreover, the towns of Loro Ciuffenna, Castelfranco di sopra and Piandiscò, with glimpses of Chianti, Arezzo and the Valdichiana.
On the horizon Cortona and Lake Trasimeno, below us the long ridge of Pratomagno with the historic cross on the summit since 1821.
Landings spots
Our reference landings are located in Reggello and Pian di Scò and are managed by the "Uccellacci del Pratomagno" (weird birds of pratomagno) fligh club.
These are large green meadows, equipped to ensure maximum safety on landing thanks to the flags and wind-socks that report direction and intensity.
The main landing is in Reggello, adjacent to the parking lot of the Tamoil petrol station and its bar, an usual meeting point and landing field for paragliding pilot in the area.
